Chinese New Year

The children have learnt that Chinese New Year is a celebration marked by traditions, family gatherings, and exciting customs. They have discovered the meaning behind the red decorations, the dragon dance, and the giving of red envelopes filled with money. Through stories, activities, and crafts, children have gained an appreciation for the importance of the Chinese zodiac, with each year representing an animal, this year being the year of the Snake. The week ended with a music session in the hall where children learnt a new song celebrating Chinese new year.
